Why Trade Shows?
Public Comments
- A typical trade show attracts many thousands of people interested in the trades that the show is about. There may be a hundred different vendors there demonstrating their product line or services to potential new customers that previously were unaware that they existed, or did not know what they are now learning from the exhibit. Often there is a collection of seminars associated with the show, that focus on the notion "You need to do X" and there's scores of products & services out there that can satisfy your needs ... here's how you can get that job done. These seminars often given by people who represent some company that is on the Expo floor, so the presentation may not be exactly unbiased, but if you go to several such seminars, from competing companies, you come away educated, and better able to make wise choices. The better trade shows capture demographic statistics on their attendees and can share this with potential new companies interested in exhibiting, so that they can pick & choose which trade shows will give them the best exposure for the least investment.
