Is the "My" more important than "Space"?

I joined MySpace last year full of enthusiasm and interest. I expected that I would make some new, genuine friends who shared my love of art and music. A year later, I find that more than 95% of those who request my friendship or accept my request, have absolutely no interest whatsoever in anything but themselves. They send bulletins about their new CD or their latest exhibition but couldn't care less if I am alive or dead. Is your MySpace experience similar or is it much better?

  1. well u should block a lot of those by going in the settings. That way only people interested in you and not your consumer status see your profile instead of all those garage bands and underground singers/artists. But, mine isn't like IRS cause mine is totally private I only use it to keep in touch with people I actually know in real life...much safer BTW!
