went to a musuem today and saw one of my relatives on a photo?

it was a tempory exhibition about a shop called Busbys in bradford , and my late auntie was on one of the photographs in the record dept , then i noticed her daughter (my cousin) was also on the photo !! have you ever had a similar experience? i told the chap at the desk and he is going to get me a copy of the photo. may give the names actually. good idea

  2. That must have been awesome for you and also be proud that your relatives are part of the history of where you live.
  3. Did you let the exhibition organisers know that you had names for the people in the picture? It would make it more interesting for them also to have names to fit the faces.
  4. Yes, but mainly because my family were always into " getting into things ", like carnivals, sports or theatre performances. I have been lucky to collect up many of these for the future generations. When the museum lets you have the photo write as much as you can remember about your relatives and attach it to the pic. It will be interesting in the future and such memories get too easily lost. We used to shop at Busbys and I was at college with John Busby who is a very fine wildlife painter. You can find his work on the net. I'm not as old as that. He always looked like a schoolboy so I thought he was the same age. Ten years out !! Good luck.
