Hastings, Uk..whats a gal to do?!!?
Im going on a little trip to Hastings next month for a few nights of relative comfort in one of those super-de-duper caravan parks. Its one of the parks which is very much family orientated (but was such a bargain!) and as I havent been there for years, was wondering if someone can give me some advice on things to do and see? Ive heard theres a new aquarium, not not sure if its open yet? Also, I remember going to some really cool 1066 exhibition.. Im going with just my boyfriend (we are both late twenties) so any advice for stuff to do would be mucho appreciated! Thanks xx

- nothing to see nothing to do
- avoid the beach at night.....druggies and tramps...not nice. did you know hastings has the 2nd highest amount of users of herion in the UK but on a good note it has the highest concentration of transvestites and pre op transexuals than any other county... enjoy your stay.
- Errr... Hastings? I think that a bottle of White Lightning and a crack pipe is all you need to take.
- On a lighter note... The old village is nice and has a good pub called the Pump house in St Georges Street. There's the castle too. Don't forget the putting green up on the hill either. www.hastingsoldtown.co.uk
- There is quite a good 1066 exhibition, it is either in or part of Battle Abbey I think. Scroll down on this page http://www.thesea.org/coral_reef_community/public_aquariums/aquariums_uk.php and you'll find Hastings Underwater World. Also, Hastings probably has a cinema and some nice restuarants and shops. Have a nice relaxing time! xx
- Go to the fish market amid the tall fishermen's huts on the beach. There is a interesting museum and the best fish and chips on the south coast. The historic caves are well worth a visit, as is Fairlight Glen in good weather. Be careful at night, it can be a dangerous place because of drunks, druggies and immigrants. Take a trip to neighbouring Bexhill and visit the famous De La Warr Pavilion. Hastings is ok if the weather is nice, otherwise its a dump. A pub called the Pump House in the old town is a must, and there is another interesting pub opposite, but I can't remember its name.
- Hastings is in England. The UK is England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland altogether. Are you one of those people who call England, the UK?
- Hastings town centre is good to walk round. Lots of shops to see. And go up to the top end of the town, near the rock-a-nore car park and the fishing huts. Lovely place for a walk. Battle is good for a visit. Quaint town centre. They've recently built a new visitor centre at Battle Abbey. Also worth a trip into Eastbourne or Brighton, of course, for a bit of a change.
